If you've stumbled here looking for a place to read genuine thoughts about the process of creating video games, you have come to the right place! Throughout these blog posts, I will share with you on various subjects related to game-making. These subjects range from technical details to design choices or game art presentations. My objective is to share with you every step of my project that I deem worthy of writing about.
These blog posts will not be so much about me as they will be about the project but still, I think a little presentation is necessary. Hi, I'm Hugo 👋. I'm a French graduate from an engineering school in which I specialized myself in IT and video game development. I finished college about a few months ago and it concluded with an internship at a large French video game company: Ankama. I am currently working there as a backend developer for an MMORPG. And I spend my spare time working on my project 😃
Speaking about my project, what is it?
"Game-without-name" is a minimalistic management game leaving you in charge of your town. By daytime, you will have to plan the expansion of your town. However, after the last glimpse of light has gone beyond the horizon, you will be on your own to face the dangers that await you. From a technical perspective, it is made with unity (C#) and uses homemade pixel art assets.
That was not a very thorough description of the project, was it? Well, that was meant to be 😊 and I will explain more in-depth what I have in store for this game in the next article.
In the end, this post was not very long but I think introductions must be kept concise. To be fair, I have no idea yet if the next articles will even be longer.
I will share with you my project in the details. You will also get to know what I plan for future updates and some features I have in mind.
